Sensei Bhadresh Dave (pronounced as D’way) was born in Surat (state of Gujarat) on 22nd Aug 1961 .  He started his martial arts training in 1977 under Sensei Parvez Mistry (pioneer of martial arts in modern india and currently a Hachi Dan) in Goju Ryu style in Mumbai, in state of Maharashtra.

In July 1983, he received Sho-Dan under Sensei Viraf Majra . In July 1985, he started his own Academy – Global Martial Arts Academy (GMAA-India) . He further took training in Wing-Chun, Aiki-Do, and weapons (Nunchaku, BO, Tonfa , Arnis) under Sifu Homi Chothia, Master John Thomas and Sensei Srinivasan. In 1986 and 1988, he earned his 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belts.  In 1991, he visited Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, where he earned his Yon Dan under  Kanjo Law (8th Degree Black Belt) in Seibu-Kan Goju-Ryu style.

Between 1991 to 2003 he developed GMAA classes in states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan state. It is through self-knowledge, persistence and discipline that he earned his Go-Dan (5th Degree Black Belt) from GKK – KYOKAI and is the Co-Director in India for KYOKAI organization.  In 2013, he was conferred Roku-Dan by GKK. He has also written a book (in 2011) on basic techniques of Goju-Ryu which gives details of each technique of  karate in Goju-ryu style , especially for beginners.
