The USA National Team in Tokyo, Japan PDF Print E-mail

The USA placed 8th in the world with 1 Gold and 1 Silver Medal at the 19th World Karate  Championships. George Kotaka won the gold medal in the men's -65 kilo division, and Elisa Au-Fonseca took the silver medal in the women's open weight division. The USA placed 8th in the world out of 102 countries that attended (top 7%).
